Musique Coloniale

In the middle of the rosarium, two old pianos shelter two queens and their bees, installed in place of the mechanics, in frameworks of traditional hives but in limited number to incite them to colonize the ropes and the rest of the space. The life within the colony that activates, ventilates, plugs the instruments resound and sometimes vibrate their ropes as the development of the hive. A microphone picks up these vibrations at regular intervals throughout the season, until a possible “stinging” of the sound or, who knows, the song that will announce the birth of a young queen and an imminent swarming.
